UNRWA announced on its website that the State of Kuwait made a donation of 15 million$ to the UNRWA for the work provided for Palestine refugees in the Middle East.
The announcement of this new donation was made during a ceremony held in Geneva on June 11,at New York City.
For his part, Commissioner-General of UNRWA, Mr. Pierre Krenpol said that "this welcomed donation comes at a critical time for UNRWA, at a time when developments taking place in the region lead to a significant increase in the needs of refugees who we serve, and most of them found themselves trapped in the midst of civil war in Syria, and who are living under siege and occupation in Gaza and the West Bank."
