Authorities in the Turkish province of Kırklareli transferred four asylum seekers to a hospital after they were subjected to aggressive beating as they tried to illegally cross the borders with Bulgaria, near northwestern Turkey.
Three of the asylum seekers are Palestinians. The fourth is a Moroccan.
A refugee said the group arrived in Bulgaria through Greece before they were caught by Bulgarian borders guards and stripped of their belongings. The guards forced them back to Turkish borders at gunshots.
