The Arab Parliament (AP) decried Israel’s plots aiming to dissolve the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
In a statement, the parliament stressed its firm rejection of all attempts to thwart UNRWA’s humanitarian mission for Palestinian refugees, calling for finding a fair solution to the Palestinian refugee cause in accordance with the international legitimacy’s resolutions.
It reiterated its full support for the agency to continue providing basic services to the Palestinian refugees, accordance to the statement.
The parliament stressing the need for boosting support to UNRWA especially in light of the financial crisis inflicted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
It further called on the international community to assume its responsibility towards the Palestinian refugees by increasing funding in order to help the agency maintain its vital services.
