The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is expected to carry out reconstruction works at Assad Ibn AlFurat School, in Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees, south of Damascus.
The residents have slammed UNRWA for turning its back on their appeals for urgent reconstruction works in order to facilitate civilians’ return to the camp.
Available data by UNRWA indicates that 32 UNRWA facilities have been reduced to rubble in Yarmouk Camp alone, including 16 schools and seven health centres, since the outbreak of the Syrian conflict.
