A school in Australia was forced to fly the Palestinian flag after the Palestinian refugee girl Yasmeen Mushainesh refused to go to the school for two days until the administration agreed to place the Palestinian flag among other countries flags.
Yasmeen called on her school administration to fly the Palestinian flag among others countries’ flag but the school rejected her appeal saying they will rather fly Syria’s or Israel’s flags.
In response, Yasmeen refused to go to school after she told her parents that she is ill. Two days later, the school administration reached out to her parents and asked them to bring Yasmeen back to school after they agreed to fly the Palestinian flag.
Several news outlets acclaimed Yasmeen’s position despite of her very young age.
