The Arab daily in Britain said Western countries, including Sweden, Denmark, and Germany, have been duped by reports about stability and calm in Damascus.
The newspaper said such standpoints cite the sporadic ceasefire and dwindling military operations along with the regime’s takeover of Rif Dimashq as their main argument.
By the same token, the aforementioned countries rejected dozens of asylum applications by asylum seekers fleeing from Damascus and its countryside, including Palestinians, claiming that military actions have ended and calm has been restored in the country.
The Danish Immigration Department also issued deportation decisions against hundreds of residents.
