WHO: Coping Mechanisms of Syria Healthcare System Severely Damaged by Conflict

The World Health Organization (WHO) said humanitarian needs in Syria are at their highest since the start of the conflict.

WHO said it has been working with the different warring parties to provide life-saving support in Syria.

The organization said 11 years of conflict have damaged the coping mechanism of Syria’s healthcare system and destroyed healthcare facilities.

Today, the humanitarian situation in north-west Syria is at its worst since the start of the conflict in 2011. 4.4 million people, mostly women and children, are trapped in a war-zone along the border with Türkiye.
