A circular published by the Land Operations Directorate in Syria called for banning the entry of Palestinian refugees to Syria unless a permit is issued by Branch 235 to that end. The ban does not include Palestinians with Syrian travel documents.
Issued on July 17, the circular stipulates that entry permit be obtained by Palestinians holding passports stamped by the Palestinian-Authority, Jordan, Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, and Egypt.
