The Syrian embassy in Lebanon said persons residing outside of Syria are exempted from reserve duty only if they pay a sum of 5,000 USD.
Documents required from exemption applications include a passport, an identity card or an inpidual record statement certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and an entry/exit record.
Palestinian refugees enlisted with the Palestine Liberation Army, affiliated with the Syrian regime, slammed the decision, saying they cannot pay the exorbitant arson slapped by the Syrian government.
