Syrian authorities started removing debris from AlHajar AlAswad neighborhood, adjacent to Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees.
The AlHajar AlAswad council said debris has been removed from Tishreen neighborhood pending similar drives in other neighborhoods. Efforts have also been ongoing to rehabilitate the sewerage network and the UNRWA health centre in the area.
Residents of the adjacent neighborhoods of Uruba and March 8th in Yarmouk Camp slammed Damascus Governorate for dragging its feet over their appeals for rubble-clearance.
