Internal dissent has been reported among members of Liwaa AlQuds group, affiliated with the Syrian regime, over affiliations with Russia or Iran in Syria.
The pro-Russia pision at Liwaa AlQuds is led by commander Mohamed AlSa’id. The group’s pro-Iran pision is led by Reyad AlKhatib. Both are residents of AlNeirab Camp, in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo.
Another pision, led by Mohamed AlSaid’s deputy, Adnan AlSayed, has equal ties with Russian and Iranian forces. The pro-Russian side is reportedly the strongest.
