Palestinian refugee Sai’d Ahmed Mashour has been actively engaged in the manufacture of gyrocopters at a factory run by Bilginar Aircraft Industry Corporation, in the southern Turkish city of Mersin.
Ahmed, who was raised in Aleppo, north of Syria, said in an interview that he is an assistant mechanical engineer and has been working in the factory for nearly a year to develop an electric auto-gyrocopter.
Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Bilginar Corporation, Tunju Ay Demir, said Turkey welcomes creative engineers and workers from Syria, adding that the auto gyrocopter project has been sponsored by a Syrian businessman.
