UNRWA launched works to reconstruct AlFalouja School. Works are slated to be finalized by September 2023.
UNRWA education chief Walid AlKurdi said on Facebook that the Agency has also started the reconstruction of a youth development centre thanks to contributions from the government of Spain. The facility will be turned into a clinic.
Yarmouk camp, once home to 160,000 Palestine refugees, sustained severe destruction due to the conflict. Despite heavy damage to a majority of UNRWA service installations,1 4,000 refugees have returned to the camp and lack basic services.
