Social media pages shared recently many videos in which foods, vegetables, and sweets spread inside the Yarmouk camp markets, such recordings adopted by ISIS, its supporters, and some journalists who were subjected to blackmail and threats, in order to improve the image of ISIS in front of the media by claiming that the organization is entering food supplies and distributes it to the trapped people.
About these recordings, our correspondent research on the subject and question some residents and activists in the camp for what it really is.
A resident, who asked not to be identified for fear of "Daash," said that:
"All material that became available in the markets of the camp come from the nearby town of Yalda, and many members of Daash or affiliates sell them to people at very expensive prices compared with the living situation of trapped people inside the camp."
An activist inside the camp adds, " the Syrian authorities has significantly facilitated the arrival of food aid to the towns of Aldao and Babbila since the storming of ISIS after it blocked it over the past months, therefore food were available where many merchants and some people affiliated to Daash sold to residents at least four times the price!! ".
On the other hand, one of the people added to our correspondent, "The desserts video recording is just for Media and for improving the image of Daash. How could the people who cannot afford buying a kilo of sugar would be able to buy desserts?? !!".
For his part, our correspondent pointed out that the state of fear and anxiety faced by the people of Yarmouk, especially activists who are threatened by ISIS with death if transferred any information exposing the role of ISIS and some affiliated people inside the camp, where he confirmed that all those interviewed asked for anonymity out of fear for their lives.
It is worth mentioning that the so-called press office of the mandate of Damascus which is affiliated to Daash had published yesterday a video entitled "picking spies" in which the members Daash executing a number of residents either slaughter or shooting.
