Agencies: 40 Migrants Died after their Boat Drowned off the Libyan Shores

Some news agencies shared information about the sinking of about 40 migrants, following the sinking of a rubber boat off the Libyan coast on Wednesday.

According to the agencies, the survivors who have been received by the Supreme Commission for Refugees, which are supervised by the United Nations, confirmed that about 40 people died after the sinking of a rubber boat carrying them to the European coasts.

According to the sources, the survivors had arrived from the death journey to the Italian coast, specifically to Cecilia, where the official spokesman for the Authority Federico Fauci said that almost 35 to 40 people died at sea while trying to access to the Italian beaches.

Meanwhile, the AGPS could not get any additional information about the names and nationalities of victims until the moment.

It is noteworthy that thousands of Palestinian refugees are risking their lives to reach Europe from Libya and the Turkish coast.
