The deteriorating security situation in the areas and towns adjacent to Al Wafedeen camp, which is 20 kilometers away from the capital Damascus, and bombed every now and then, impact negatively on residents of the camp who already suffer from poverty, high unemployment rate, and poor living conditions even before the outbreak of events in Syria.
In addition, two shells targeted Al Wafedeen camp on 8th of July 2015, one of them was dropped at Alsaravees bus stop, and the other one was dropped at the sides of the camp and resulted in the injury of a 13-year-boy.
It is noted that the camp includes a number of Palestinian refugees and displaced Syrians.
