The Number of Palestinian Detainees in Syria has been Raised.

The statistics, which is published at the AGPS website "http://www.actionpal.org.uk/en", indicated that the number of detained people, who were documented by the AGPS, has reached 732, as the first arrest campaign, at the ongoing events, has begun at August 2011, where dozens of Palestinians from Al Raml camp were arrested at Al Lathaqia city, and many of them died due to torture.

After that, the pace of arrest campaign has been raised after the tension in the adjacent areas at the Yarmouk camp and after the camp was involved at the war to testify mass arrests followed by detentions coincided with the disclosure of the names of detainees who were killed under torture.

Similar arrests were carried out at Homs camp, which reached 132 detainees, as the AGPS documented similar arrests in a number of Syrian camps and governorates, and were reported as follow: 227 at Damascus and its suburb, 123 unknown, 102 at Aleppo, 72 at Lathaqia, 39 at Hama, 34 at Daraa, and 2 at Tartous, as the continuous arrest campaign and the victims of torture included media, relief, political and military personnel.

In addition to the civilians, the majority of these campaign, which also included the schools and universities students and were not limited at the refugee youth it also included women, while the AGPS documented the names of 23 Palestinian refugee women who are detained at the Syrian prisons.
