The Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees south of Damascus was exposed to a number of mortar shells that targeted separate areas of the camp. A mortar shell targeted an area near one of the camps mosques during the Friday Prayer which spread panic amongst the residents of the Yarmouk in the mosque.
The Yarmouk camp witnessed a notable tension during the last two days due to the clashes and bombing between the Syrian Opposition forces at Yelda area and the ISIS alongside Al Nusra Front. According to the AGPS correspondent that the clashes led to a number of wounded people from the two parties where the Regular Army and the PFGC still impose a complete siege on the camp since more than 794 days.
In a related context, The negotiation committee to neutralize the Yarmouk camp entered little quantities from the special medicine for the typhoid and jaundice Upper Respiratory Infection inside the besieged Yarmouk camp through the main entrance. They delivered the medicine to the medical staff of the Palestine Red Crescent in Palestine Hospital.
It is referred that the cases of Typhoid and Jaundice were increased lately amongst children, women and old people due to the lack of medical care and hygiene, which is resulted from the control of ISIS on the Yarmouk camp and the siege that is imposed by the Regular Army and the PFGC over the camp.
