Thousands of Palestinian Syrian refugees who risked their lives to get to Europe are suffering from multiple obstacles, most notably the delay of obtaining residency, in addition to the other difficulties they face while completing the procedures of family reunion.
The required period for obtaining residencies in the Nordic European countries ranging between 3 to 9 months, while family reunion decision is taking a similar period, which increases the suffering of the refugees, especially from those who left their families in Syria and who suffer from the security tension situation on the one hand and the high cost of living on the other.
In addition, the difficulty of their families to access to European embassies in neighboring countries, where Lebanon stresses its procedures for the entry of Palestinians, as Turkey stopped issuing entry visas to Palestinian Syrian refugees into its territory for more than two years.
It is noteworthy that at least 36,000 Palestinian Syrian refugees were forced by war to leave their camps in Syria, and the neighboring countries forced them to risk their lives in order to reach the European North.
