Most Palestinian refugee camps in Syria suffer from a great shortage of fuel, either because of the siege such as Yarmouk, or because the closure of roads linking them and the rest of the surrounding areas such as a Khan Al Shieh camp in Damascus suburb, in addition to the high price if available, forcing people to buy firewood that has varying prices from camp to another.
The fuel crisis adds significant burdens on displaced Palestinian families that suffer mainly from economic problems, caused by the displacement, high rents, unemployment, and high cost of living.
It is worth mentioning that most of the Palestinian refugees in Syria who had been fled from their camps after being directly targeted with bombardment, clashes, and siege.
