A Syrian Security Checkpoint Arrests a Palestinian Woman after She Prevented the Checkpoint

The AGPS correspondent in Khan Al Shieh camp reported that the Syrian security forces arrested the Palestinian refugee woman "Saud Sabri Mesleh" at Koukab checkpoint while she was returning home in Khan Al Shieh camp.

He said that Ms. Saud was in the capital Damascus to bring UNRWA's financial assistance granted to the Palestinian refugees, and when she returns, a member of the regime's security at the checkpoint searched her bag, and he knows that women leave the camp in order to bring UNRWA's aid.

When the member searched her bag and did not find any money, he said bring everything you hide in your chest, she replied that there is nothing, and then he arrested her, while unconfirmed news reported that she was released.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian army and security checkpoints are continuously check and restrict on the people of Khan Al Shieh camp, while the AGPS documented 103 detainees, mostly were arrested at the regime's checkpoints, especially Koukab checkpoint.
