Al Wafaa European campaign announced the suspension of its relief campaign inside Syrian territory, because of "pressures that may affect the humanitarian campaign work".
The campaign said in a press release, on Saturday night 7-11-2015, "the campaign, which was the first relief campaigns in the Syrian interior and the first action for the relief of Palestinians of Syria in the countries where they were displaced, has been subjected to pressure and unacceptable interference by the security agencies, which made us rethink our work there."
The campaign decided to suspend work inside Syria, and also decided to close its office and warehouses there, "because of pressure by some of the security services and its interference in the work of the relief campaign, which would perges the work of the Commission on the right track."
Al Wafaa European Campaign stressed that the campaign, which does extensive efforts in the inside and outside Syria for the relief of refugees and displaced Palestinians and Syrians alike, refuses to be a tool, stressing that it insists to keep its humanly only away from any attempts to exploit politically in favor of one party over another.
At the same time; it called for the need for humanitarian action to rescue homeless and displaced within Syria, declaring that relief and humanitarian work in outside the Syrian territories will continue and will not stop.
They also stressed the need to find a way remain open, during which humanitarian institutions to extend a lifeline to the inhabitants of the camps and of displaced Palestinians and Syrians both inside Syria. Supporting humanitarian organization and international relief agencies must accelerate to make, tender, and search for distant mechanism from any political or security pressure.
