UNRWA suspended the financial aid of food allowance, 40,000 LL per person, equals to 27$, for a number of displaced Palestinian Syrian families in Lebanon.
According to the AGPS correspondent in Lebanon, UNRWA has suddenly suspended the ATM cards for the Palestinian Syrian refugees without any explanations.
This step came along with the dire living conditions of the Palestinians of Syria in Lebanon, as they complain of stifling economic crises as a result of unemployment spread and the lack of financial resources, in addition to their instable legal situation in Lebanon due to the laws issued by the Lebanese authorities.
It is worth mentioning that UNRWA stopped the shelter allowance aid for the Palestinians of Syria in Lebanon since the beginning of this year under the pretext of the lack of funding.
In addition, UNRWA has stopped financial aid for 1100 Palestinian Syrian families since October 2014.
