A Palestinian Refugee Paralyzed Due to Torture in the Prisons of the Syrian Regime

the Syrian security forces released the Palestinian refugee, Helmey Halima, on 11.24.2015 after being detained for almost two years transferring between the investigation branches in Damascus.

Relatives of Halima confirmed that he was sick and paralyzed in his limbs as a result of torture and beatings on his head; he is from Al Aedein camp in Hama; originally from Tarshiha village in Palestine and he is at the end of thirties.

A number of released detainees have confirmed that part of the torture and beatings are implemented with green plastic rods used for health extensions in homes, known to Syrian security personnel as "Al Akhdar Al Ibrahimi."
