Deteriorated Living Conditions at Al Aedein Camp in Homs Force its Residents to Migrate

Residents of Al Aedein camp in Homs suffer from the continuing deterioration of living conditions and the tightening of security procedures, prompting hundreds of them to go to Turkey intending to reach Europe, and so continuously.

In terms of living aspect, residents are complaining of increasing periods of power outages where the electricity is cut off for at least six hours continuously and return after only one hour.

With regard to food aid, according to residents, many food rations distributed by UNRWA are unusable, especially rice that contains some insects and mites.

On the other hand, the camp suffer from tightening security grip by the Syrian security forces and its affiliated groups, where the entrances of the camp are subject to security checks dramatically, in addition to the repeated arrest campaigns against youth in particular, forcing most of them to migrate to Europe.
