AGPS: 286 Palestinian Refugees Died Due to Torture, Including 87 Died on 2013, and 156 on 2014.

The AGPS documentation and monitoring team revealed that 286 Palestinian refugees died due to torture since the start of the conflict in Syria, including 87 died in 2013, and 156 in 2014.

The group noted that during 2013, 87 Palestinian refugees died due to torture; they were distributed as follows:

Yarmouk camp 28 -  Damascus suburb 12- Damascus 11- Homs Al Aedein camp 10 - Unknown 7 - Khan Al Shieh camp 7 - Khan Dannun 5 - Hosseinieh camp 2 –Al Raml camp Latakia 2 - Sbeina camp 1 -  Handarat camp 1- Sayeda Zeinab camp 1.

In 2014, the AGPS has documented the names of (156) Palestinian refugees died due to torture; they were distributed as follows:

Yarmouk camp 66 - Unknown 26 - Damascus13- Homs Al Aedein camp 11 - Neirab 9 - Khan Al Shieh camp 8 - Damascus suburb 6-Dara camp 4 –Al Raml camp Latakia 4 - Hosseinieh camp 2- Sayeda Zeinab camp 2 - Hama Al Aedein camp 2 - Handarat camp 2 - Khan Dannun 1.

Meanwhile the AGPS clarified that most of the bodies of the victims have not been handed over to their relatives, and the connection is only with one of the members of the victim's family, to inform him to go to the headquarters of the security to receive the detainee belongings without asking about his body.

The AGPS also renewed its demand to the Syrian regime to disclose the fate of hundreds of Palestinian detainees who are unaccounted for, stressing that what is happening inside the Syrian prisons for the Palestinians, "a war crime by any standard".
