Hundreds of Palestinian-Syrians and Palestinians of Burj Al-Shamali camp organized a sit-in south of Lebanon against the UNRWA's policy of decreasing services. The protestors declared their rejection of UNRWA's last decisions regarding hospitalization issue and the former announcements regarding the education issue.
The protestors emphasized that the policy of the UNRWA is an introduction to end its presence and evade the issue of Palestinian refugees. At the end of the sit-in; the protestors submitted a memorandum addressed to the General Director of the UNRWA in Lebanon, it was received by "Raef Ahmad" the local director of UNRWA inside the camp.
It is noteworthy that the UNRWA is planning to implement a new system of hospitalization by the beginning of next year, which includes a reduction in medical assistance, which will negatively affect the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
