The Turkish Coast Guard stops 34 immigrants while trying to arrive in Greece via Aegean Sea.

The Turkish authorities has arrested (34) Syrian refugees while they were trying to reach Greece, according to Anadolu Agency, the Turkish Coast Guard teams conducted an operation off the coast of the state of (Aydin) in the Aegean Sea after receiving a communiqué of illegal migration attempt towards Greece.

The agency confirmed that the "Turkish Coast Guard teams had arrested 34 people of Syrian nationality and transferred them to the Immigration Department in addition to a 14 years-old smuggler who was driving the boat.

It is noteworthy that Turkey had signed, few weeks ago, an agreement with the European Union requires in one of its paragraphs Turkey to combat illegal immigration.
