The AGPS has received an entreaty call from the Palestinian families living in Qudsaya evacuation center area in Damascus Suburb, appealing to the humanitarian relief organizations and institutions to help them to ward off the winter cold.
An activist who works in one of the shelters said that "families need urgent and rapid relief of heating woods, and the children need for winter clothing, assuring that during last year 5 children had died due to coldness and holding responsibility to all people in charge.
About 6000 families displaced from Al-Yarmouk Camp and other camps to Qudsaya area in Damascus suburb live in a real tragedy, as a result of the regime's army blockade on the area since 23 July which reflected negatively on families, where all Palestinian-Syrian are prohibited to pass in and out the area except if employed, and all kinds of goods are prohibited as well unless if the checkpoint's members are bribed.
