Fateh movement came under fire after its anniversary celebration in Damascus.

Fateh movement came under fire after its anniversary celebration in Damascus.

Fateh movement and PLO have been criticised sharply by families of Palestinian detainees in Syrian prisons. The criticism came in a wake of the 51st anniversary celebration held in the Syrian capital of Damascus by Fateh. The families had sent letters asking PLO and Fateh to work hardly to release their relatives who were arrested unfairly by the Syrian forces, instead of sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with the jailer, as the letter said. The letter expressed families' disappointment of the Palestinian factions that attended the ceremony, describing it as "disavowal of suffering of families and entirely disregarding detainees issue".
