The Palestinian families displaced from the Yarmouk camp to Qudsayya Town, which count around 6000, had renewed their entreaties to the international institutions, humanitarian organisations, and relief foundations to help them out and do their best to open the road and end the siege imposed on town since 21st of July 2015, and to secure sufficient quantity of flour and heating fuel.
Qudsayya town has been living a real tragic situation caused by the siege which affected people's social and health conditions according to the AGPS correspondent, while reports indicated severe high percentage of unemployment inside the town could reach 96% of the population.
The bread is almost unavailable inside the town, or very rare and high priced if available such as 325 SYP per pack. Heating fuel is the same, hardly could be found at 400 SYP per Litre of Diesel and 200 SYP per kilo of dry firewood, while the town had, almost completely, run out of medicine.
It should be noticed that some of the Palestinian families who live in Qudsayya town's shelters had, previously in 4th of January 2016, launched a distress call to help them out secure winter cloths and heating fuel.
One of the shelters' activists assured to the AGPS' correspondent that "this families are in need of urgent winter relief" warning at the same time of repeating the tragic incidents of the last year when "five children passed away due to the cold temperature and lack of food".
