In Lebanon, UNRWA announced a new round of cash assistance to Palestinian refugees from Syria. The winter cash assistance is the second and last payment, UNRWA said. The statement issued by UNRWA said that the payment will be available in ATM from 19th of this month.
This statement came in a wake of the declaration of UNRWA to decrease the assistance to all Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. UNRWA has cut cash and food aid and shelter allowance for, at least, 1100 families. It is worth noting that a wave of protests took place in Lebanon due to the cuts of treatment allowance which affected all Palestinians in Lebanon.
