Security harassment in the Al-Aydeen camp in Homs affects street vendors.

In the middle of Syria, the Syrian security forces applied additional procedures in Al-Aydeen Camp of Homs, the security point of the camp wich is related to the Syrian "political security" branch, summoned peddlers of the camp, to fill out questionnaires concerning their security information, their whereabouts daily, their daily locations in the streets and the kind of their work.

Activists believe that this step comes as part of systematic approach to push the residents of the camp to leave the camp and migrate, in addition to the the Syrian security forces continues acts to extort the shops' owners to pay royalties to allow them continue their work.

The Syrian Security has issued earlier a decision for all vendors in the camp to prevent the sale of their goods on the streets. Also, the security patrols on 22.7.2015 prevented all the people of the camp from setting up tents for funerals in the streets of the camp which people have been doing for so many years because of the small houses.
