Palestinian NGOs discuss the UNRWA minimizing and the implications on Palestinians of Syria in Lebanon.

The Committee of Palestinians of Syria participated, alongside to the delegation of Palestinian NGOs in Lebanon,  in the meeting held with the Lebanese minister, Hassan Mnaimne in the government headquarter in Beirut in 29/2/2016.

The meeting with Mnaimne, as a head of the Committee of  Palestinian-Lebanese Dialogue, has aimed to put the Lebanese minister in the picture of the UNRWA cuts crisis.

The Palestinian delegation presented the dimensions of the UNRWA decision regarding the stop of the rent allowances for Palestinians from Syria. In addition, the suspending of the emergency program of Nahir Albarid camp, although the camp reconstruction projest was not completed.

For his part, the Lebanese minister assured the support of Lebanese government to the demands and protests of Palestinian refugees against UNRWA. Mnaimne called for continuing the peace protest to put more pressure on the donors states in order to increase its contributions in UNRWA fund to meet the increased needs of Palestinian refugees at all levels. It is worth mentioning that Palestinian delegation had organised meetings with several foreign embassies in the Lebanese capital of Beirut.
