Sporadic clashes broke out yesterday between ISIS and Al-Nusra Front in Yarmouk camp. According to eyewitnesses in Yarmouk, the clashes have taken place in the wake of arresting of two ISIS members by Al-Nusra Front after they tried to assassinate one of Al-Nusra leaders. The clashes resulted in many casualties from both parties; where activists assured that the camp witnessed a deployment of Ansar Al-Islam group in the streets after killing Abu Khader Bilal Sulaiman, the Amir of Ansar Al-Islam and three of his aides, one of them Mohammed Nadaf Abu Muaweya.
It is mentioned that the relations between Al-Nusra and ISIS witnessed a great tension after the latter had signed an agreement with Assad regime, which provides the evacuation the camp and handing the medium and heavy weapons. It were violent clashes erupted in the camp in 30/01/2016 after assassination attempt of Abu Salem Al-Iraqi by a roadside bomb targeted the ISIS leader in Al-Hajar Al-Aswad. Privet resources to AGPS then assured that the clashes stopped after interference of a pro-ISIS group from the neighbouring neighbourhood who managed in holding a ceasefire and release all prisoners from both parties.
