AGPS demands the Turkish Government to investigate the violations committed against Palestinians of Syria at the borders with Syria

The Action Group for Palestinians of Syria has addressed the Turkish Government and the Embassy of Turkey in London regarding its deep concerns and condemnation of violations committed against Palestinians from Syria (PRS) at the borders with Syria, where many of them, during the recent weeks, were directly shot by live bullets or exposed to severe beating, left with shattering ribs and teeth and severe wounds before expelling them back to Syria, which is considered a clear violation of international conventions and the universal declaration of Human Rights.

The AGPS urged the Turkish Government in Ankara, to take decisive action and investigate the incidents as well as to facilitate the freedom of movement other right to PRS since they are enduring the same disastrous consequences of war just like the Syrian people, who have been granted rights of legal entry and right to work and reside.

Detached briefing about the humanitarian and living conditions of PRS inside and outside Syria was attached with the letter as well.

The AGPS calls for all human rights institutions to constantly apply more pressure on the Turkish Embassies around the world to alleviate the suffering of PRS at the Syrian-Turkish borders and to decently treat them according to the international laws’ regulations of refugees fleeing the conflict zones.
