Al-Hosayniya Camp residents are suffering from environmental problem due to the accumulation of garbage inside the camp’s streets, as well as the rubble of the destroyed houses by shelling. “Foul odors and airborne dust make our life miserable”, said a resident.
Activists warned of the spread of diseases and epidemics with the approach of the summer season, and demanded the council and the municipality to prioritize the cleaning process.
Al-Hosayniya camp had witnessed violent acts of war such as the MiG jet bombing which caused huge damages to the houses and properties and caused lives massacre, it was committed on 17 January 2013. Continuous clashes occurred in the camp ended up by the regime’s full control over the camp on 9 October 2013.
