Jafra Foundation held an activity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Palestinian Land’s Day, the activity included planting 111 olive seedlings along the “River Road” inside the camp.
The activity was attended by representatives of the Palestinian forces and factions as well as the local elders.
The foundation’s officials said “planting the trees expresses our engagement and connection to our lands in Palestine, those olive trees mean a lot to us, olive is the tree of life, a symbol of generosity and peace” as described.
In Al-Yarmouk Camp, Palestine Charity Association in cooperation with the Jenin Scout and Sports Club, held a festival on the Land’s day under the title “Homeland’s Soil Not Exile’s Heaven”.
The festival which included marathon and other sport activities was attended by the Swedish Aid Campaign and Al-Wafaa European Campaign among large audience from Al-Yarmouk camp’s residents.
