News about maintenance works to start soon in Sbiena camp.

People of Sbiena camp who had been evacuated by force, live a state of anticipation with regard to unofficial news of decision allows the return.

The news indicated that a restoration of infrastructure will start soon as part of a complete project includes allowing the residents to go back to their houses, according to the “Reconciliation Committee” page on facebook.

A meeting was held inside the UNRWA’s head quarter in Damascus, attended by officials, during which the UNRWA expressed its willing to form a joint committee with the GAPAR (General Assembly for Palestinian Refugees affiliated to the Syrian Regime) to visit the camp and conduct a detailed report of restoration requirements.

These developments come after 876 days since the regime’s army imposed its full control over the camp and evacuated its civilian residents who were dispersed over the surrounding areas and countries.
