Three Palestinians Die in the Yarmouk camp amid Signs of a Humanitarian Crisis due to the Ongoing Battles between ISIS and Nusra

Clashes between ISIS and Nusra have been ongoing for 5 consecutive days in the Yarmouk camp. Three Palestinian refugees died during these clashes; they are: Ahmed Hamdan, Mohammed Amayri, and Mohammed Ali. Our correspondent confirmed a number of deaths among the two parties of conflict, in addition to a number of houses were burnt at Haifa Street because of the usage of Molotov bombs during the clashes yesterday.

On the other hand, dozens of families are still besieged inside their houses at Haifa Street, Khamastaash Street, Al Shatat Area, Alquds Mosque area, and Al Madares Street. The families are suffering of severe dire living situation due to the scarcity of food, medication, and water. They also demanded previously roads to be open and secure in order to obtain water.

Meanwhile, our correspondent reported that areas controlled by ISIS extend from Al Hajar al Aswad area to Al Orouba area, Palestine hospital area, Amer car repair shop, Dier Yaseen neighborhood, Al Madares Street, the vicinity of Palestine mosque, a large part of Khamastaash Street, a part of Safoureya Street, Al Basil hospital, along Safad Street towards Palestine mosque, in addition to Al Shuhadaa district from Al Khayam institute till Salah Al Dein Al Ayoubi mosque.

 However, areas controlled by Al Nusra inside the camp limit to Al Jaouna neighborhood, specifically from the Democratic front office till Palestine square, Al Tarboush area at Palestine Street, Haifa Street, Al Malkeya School, the vicinity of Al Waseem mosque towards Khamastaash Street and Al Rija square, as its snipers center at both sides of Loubiea Street.

Our correspondent added that the snipers also center at both sides of the Yarmouk and Safad Streets in some cases. He also noted that the clashes are still ongoing and the field situation is constantly changing.
