The Greece-Macedonian Borders still Closed, and the Border Guards Repel Refugees with Gas Bombs

Greek and Macedonian authorities continue to close their borders against thousands of refugees who try to reach Europe fleeing wars in their home countries.

In a new twist, dozens of refugees tried to cross the border between the two countries in groups, but the Macedonian border guards repel them using tear gas and sound bombs, which led to dozens of cases of fainting in the ranks of the refugees.

It is noteworthy that about 11 thousand refugees are still stranded in Greece, where the situation became strained after the closure of the border, and the signing of an agreement between the EU and Turkey that seeks to stop illegal immigration towards Europe.
