The AGPS correspondent reported that a six-month baby (Omar Abo Hamda ) has been killed and at least 12 people were wounded in an artillery shelling on Khan Al Shieh Refugee Camp in Damascus Suburb. The shelling targeted the western neighborhood and the only clinic in the camp, where many people were trying to vaccinate their children. He added, “Heavy clashes broke out between the armed opposition groups and the Syrian Army”
The artillery shelling was renewed yesterday afternoon where many mortar shells targeted Al-Thanwya Street causing many injuries among children, in addition to an old man and his wife who were injured at the old Market. A third mortar shell targeted the main street in front of Al khawaled neighborhood in an agricultural land causing no injuries or causalities.
The Syrian Air Forces target Khan Al Shieh Camp in West Ghout in Damascus almost daily causing deaths and injuries among civilian displaced people. The camp is one of the biggest Palestinian refugee camps. About 12 thousand people live in the camp, in addition to hundreds of displaced people fleeing from towns and cities of Al-Ghouta such as Muadamiyat Al-Sham and Darya because of the deteriorated security situation there. All roads leading to the camp are closed except Zakia Road which is always under attack and shooting that results in many deaths.
