Turkey Obliges Palestinians and Syrians to Obtain Travel Permits for Moving among Cities

The AGPS received many messages demanding the AGPS to highlight the unstable legal situation faced by the Palestinian and Syrian refugees in Turkey, especially in terms of the requirement of the Turkish authorities to obtain a travel permission, before movement between the Turkish States, and the prevention of those authorities any refugee who did not gets a permission to travel or to visit his family until obtaining it from the Department of immigration.

Under the resolution, which came into force on January 5, it is obligatory for the Syrian refugees to obtain data proving allowance of the Turkish immigration departments in the US, by traveling to another state.

According to unofficial statistics, the number of Palestinian Syrian refugees in Turkey estimates at 6000-8000 refugees scattered at Istanbul, middle, and south Turkey.
