UNRWA filled the ATM for the displaced Palestinian Syrian refugees in Lebanon, while $100 were distributed as rent allowance for each Palestinian family coming from Syria, and 40,000 LP as food allowance; $27 per person.
However, UNRWA managed, through the urgent appeals for Syria in 2016, to provide financial aid for the Palestinian refugees coming from Syria to Lebanon as follows: 40,000 LP as food allowance per person till the end of 2016, $100 as monthly shelter allowance starting from March till the end of June 2016.
Meanwhile, UNRWA has suspended the $100 shelter allowance for the displaced families under the pretext of the lack of funding, and the failure of donor countries to provide assistance. In addition, the UNRWA also reduced the amount of food aid from 45,000 LP to 40,000 LP.
