Horrific massacre was committed on Tuesday morning by the Syrian Army and Security forces at Khan Al Shieh camp in Damascus suburb. Members of the Regime forces targeted a civilian car that was carrying a number of refugees while passing through the only road linking the camp and the center of the capital, Damascus. The massacre resulted in the death of at least five refugees, including a child and his mother.
The AGPS documented the names of the 5 victims; they are: the child "Mohammed Majed Sanad," and his mother "Rawda Jaber," Hamza Mohammed Al Dali, Hazem Hussein Hazzaa, and Oweid Mazhour, in addition to a number of injuries. All residents have to go through the dangerous road of Zakia-Khan Al Shieh after the Regime forces closed all other roads that link the camp with the capital of Damascus.
The AGPS correspondent reported that the artillery of the Regular Army, which centered at Talat Al Kabouseia targeted the houses and lanes of Khan Al Shieh camp with a number of shells. The shelling targeted the main Street and resulted in a number of injuries among civilians.
The Palestinian refugee, Ahmed Hasan Awaad, from Khan Al Shieh died due to wounds he attained following the shelling that targeted the vicinity of the camp.
Meanwhile, clashes broke out between the Syrian armed opposition factions and the Refgular Army near Al Salam highway in the western Ghouta at Damascus suburb, while the latter was trying to break into the Khan Al Shieh camp from Al Tiba, Al Salam highway, and Darousha areas.
