Shelling Targets Civilian Houses at Khan Dannon Camp, and Significant Deterioration of Humanitarian Conditions

The Regular Army artillery stationed at Talat Al Kabouseya area targeted houses and lanes at Khan Al Shieh camp and resulted in only material damages.

Meanwhile, violent clashes broke out between groups of the Syrian armed opposition and the Regular Army several days ago, which resulted in significant deterioration of lining conditions as a result of the deteriorated security situation in the adjacent areas, in addition to shelling.

The AGPS correspondent reported that the residents are suffering of dire humanitarian conditions as a result of the closure of all roads leading to Khan Al Shieh area, the prevention of food, medication, and bread entry, as well as the continuous cut of power and communication for long periods.

Residents of Khan Al Shieh camp launched appeals to the concerned parties to urgently allow the entry of food and medical aid, bread, fuel needed for generators, extraction of water from wells, and to make efforts  to stop targeting the camp and to neutralize it from the ongoing clashes.

More than 15,000 Palestinian refugees and a number of Palestinian Syrian families, who were displaced from other conflict areas, are living in a miserable condition due to the stifling siege in addition to the frequent shelling, especially following the intensification of fighting at the north western Front of Khan Al Shieh (Almansheia -Hussenieat Khan Al Shieh) which were targeted with explosive barrels recently.
