The AGPS Issues a Documentary Report Entitled as

The AGPS issued a documentary report entitled as "The Lady's Grave Camp-Alsayeda Zainab." The report monitors the general conditions of the Palestinian refugees at Alsayeda Zainab camp and the Palestinian compounds of Hujaira and Thiabeia in Damascus suburb from March 2011 to May 2016. The report addresses the most important events that took place at Alsayeda Zainab camp via a clear and objective method for events that were documented by the archive and documentary team of the AGPS. In addition, the report included field eye witnesses by a group of residents who have experienced this stage. 

The 34-page-report addresses the conditions of Alsayeda Zainab camp in light of the Syrian crisis, including field, health, educational, living, and economic conditions. The report highlights the massacre of Hujaira, which resulted in 250 victims and tens of injuries following a big explosion that targeted a demonstration, in addition to the huge displacement in 18 July 2012.

Moreover, the report mentioned the explosion that occurred in 21 February 2016 at Alsayeda Zainab camp, which resulted in more than 100 victims, including 40 Palestinians, according to the AGPS Documentation department.

The report also addressed the victims, the detainees, and the victims of torture, where the number of victims from Alsayeda Zainab, Hujaira, and Theabeia, since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in March 2011 till the end of May 2016 has reached 118 Palestinian refugees who died inside Alsayeda Zainab area or outside due to the ongoing military actions.

Meanwhile, the AGPS documented 33 Palestinian detainees from Alsayeda Zainab camp from March 2011 till April 2016, in addition to 5 victims who died inside the prisons of the Syrian Regime due to torture.

It is worth mentioning that this report came within a series of field report of the Palestinian camps issued by the AGPS that archives this important phase of the Palestinian refuge. The AGPS provides the researchers with truth and accurate and documented information regarding the Palestinian camps in light of the Syrian crisis.
