A Palestinian Syrian Family Appeals not to be Deported from Germany to Spain

The Palestinian Syrian family of "Habayeb-Rashdan," appealed to support and helps them in order not to be deported from Germany to Spain due to the difficult economic and living conditions there, in addition to the difficulty of asylum in Spain, according to the family.

The family consists of the father, Mohammed Habayeb, the mother, Rania Rashdan, 11-year son, Khalid, 8-year-daughter, Joudy, and 4-year-son Zain. The father Mohammed suffers of heart problems and receives treatment in a German hospital.

The family said, "We cannot sleep anymore because we are not sure that we will be in German next day. We live in great fear of being deported to Spain under the Dublin agreement in force in European countries. "

The family fled from the furnace of the Syrian war to Algeria where the father tried to get a job till he had a heart attack, and then the family decided to migrate towards Europe after suffering of obtaining residence in Algeria.

The family went out over the Moroccan area of Melilla which is controlled by Spain, but they had to leave their fingerprints in spite of their rejection as well as hundreds of Syrian refugees. The Spanish police confirmed that nothing stands in the way of completing their migration towards Europe and that fingerprints are just a routine procedure.

The family added that the fingerprints appeared in Germany when they seek asylum; according to the European Convention on the Dublin it is necessary to return the refugee to the first European country where he put his fingerprints.

The family reported that the Provisions of the Dublin Convention are unfair against them and other refugees fleeing wars and humanitarian asylum seekers in the European Union.

Meanwhile, human rights activists announced the signing of a campaign across the Avaz site in order to put pressure toward keeping the family in Germany and to prevent deportation, as well as they demanded the German Federal Office to grant residence to the family in order to live in peace in Germany.
