The Russian warplanes carried out violent raid that targeted the outskirts of the river in the western lane of Khan Al Shieh camp in Damascus suburb. The shelling resulted in the death of at least two refugees and a number of injuries among residents. Activists confirmed that warplanes used cluster bombs which resulted in at least one victim and a number of injuries.
This comes in light of the escalation of repeated bombing that targets the camp and its vicinity with all types of heavy weapons by air and artillery bombardments. The surrounding farms and towns are targeted almost daily with explosive barrels and artillery shells.
