Residents of Deraa and Yarmouk camps are suffering of continuous water cut, prompting them for long periods to depend on the artesian well water to secure the domestic water supply and drinking water, regardless of their suitability for use; as well water has become the only option available to them.
For their part, experts confirmed to the AGPS that some of these wells may cause kidney diseases, especially with the continued use for long periods, which contain a high percentage of deposits, as they are not subject to any kind of health treatment.
It is noteworthy that the Syrian regime had cut off drinking water from the Yarmouk camp for more than 667 days, and from Deraa camp for more than 821 days.
